Worship Gatherings
Worship Gatherings Regulated By The All-Sufficient Scriptures

The elements of our worship gatherings:
-
The public reading of the scriptures (1 Timothy 4:13, Colossians 4:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:27)
-
The Preaching of the Word (1 Timothy 4:1-2)
-
Public prayer (Acts 2:42, 1 Timothy 2:1-2, Colossians 4:2, Ephesians 6:18)
-
Public singing (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16)
-
Communion (1 Corinthians 11:17-32, Matthew 26:26-28, Mark 14:22-24, Luke 22:19-20)
The content of our worship:
-
All content must be regulated by the all-sufficient word of God. It must contain the word of God or be consistent with the intentions of the word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, Philippians 2:12-13)

The order of our worship gatherings:
We believe when God's people gather together to worship him, they must do so according to God's law. We believe that covenant worship of God, as seen in the scriptures, is always organized in these six aspects:
-
God Reveals himself and calls his people to worship.
-
The people acknowledge their sins and confess their need for forgiveness.
-
God provides atonement.
-
God speaks his word.
-
God’s people respond with commitment.
-
God hosts a celebratory feast.
Hebrews 8:1-7 Says that this order and system was a “copy and shadow of heavenly things.” This means that when we gather and engage in worship together as a church, we are joining in the reality of worship happening in heaven.
